What is MUShare?
MUShare is an institutional repository developed by Hackelmeier Memorial Library to preserve and promote the scholarly output created on Marian University's campus. Its purpose is to collect works in varying formats by faculty, students, and professional staff, highlighting the growth and development of scholarly pursuits within the Marian University community. The establishment of MUShare as well as the digitization of some of the included archival content was made possible from a generous grant awarded by the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF).
Our IR has the following goals:
- Transforming students into scholars by enabling them to become more critical producers and consumers of information.
- To demonstrate the impact of student scholarship beyond the classroom assignment.
- To develop a better understanding of the evolving issues in scholarly communication, such as copyright, publishing, and peer-review.
About Institutional Repositories
Institutional Repositories (IRs) bring together all of a University's research under one umbrella, with an aim to preserve and provide access to that research. IRs are an excellent vehicle for working papers or copies of published articles and conference papers. Presentations, senior theses, and other works not published elsewhere can also be published in the IR.
